FIRST Robotics Competition · Team 11429

The full-size robot

FRC is the top of the FIRST ladder: a full-size robot, alliances of three, and a season that runs like a small engineering company. Team 11429 is also the name that ties all of our FIRST teams together.

Stories

Team 11429 with our first FRC robot, Southern Cross Regional 2026
Story

Rescued on day one

On the first day of our first FRC event, our code was buggy and our flywheel would not cooperate. Teams 3132 Thunder Down Under, 5876 ARTEMIS and the event volunteers fixed them alongside us and shared years of experience. That is gracious professionalism — and the standard we now hold ourselves to with newer teams.

Building our FRC bumpers
Story

Bumpers by hand

An FRC robot's bumpers carry the team number into every match. Ours started as a stack of plywood on the workshop floor and ended up wrapped in red and blue with “11429” on every side.

Touring FRC pits at the 2026 World Championship
Story

Learning from the best

At the 2026 World Championship our students walked the FRC pits, asked questions and took notes on how veteran teams organise their tools, spares and robots — ideas to bring into our second season.
